Hedrin 4% Lotion was the UK's first physically acting licensed product specifically formulated to kill head lice . The non-chemical, physical mode of action means that lice cannot become resistant to treatment.

Now, all of the Hedrin formulations have been clinically proven and are supported by some of the largest clinical studies ever conducted on head lice.

Safety

All Hedrin formulations are colourless with no unpleasant smells and do not contain traditional pesticides. They are suitable for use on children as young as six months and do not contain any solvents which could be problematic to people with asthma. The ingredients used in the Hedrin formulations have all been used in cosmetic formulations and have been shown to be well tolerated.

No resistance

In some areas of the country, head lice have become resistant to certain chemically acting treatments - a problem which may result in infestations in schools and communities taking longer to eradicate.³

However, because Hedrin formulations work in a purely physical way, resistance is not a factor and efficacy is not diminished even in lice resistant to other treatments. When an infestation occurs, there is usually no need to try different treatments because Hedrin products can be used again and again.
